Don't Get Waitlisted!

Whether you're in a hospital or office-based practice, chronic pain patients are everywhere—and YOU are absorbing the burden of their care.

PAINWeekEnd: Pain Management for the Main Street Practitioner has been created to streamline the clutter of information on assessment, evolving guidelines, risk management, and changing reimbursement scenarios. Join us for a day of clinical, legal, and practice management CE/CME designed expressly for frontline clinicians.

Where?

Hyatt Regency Houston

1200 Louisiana Street, Houston, TX 77002

Who Should Attend?

Physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and pharmacists.

Why Attend?

Physicians must complete 24 hours of CME credit each year, at least half of which must be in formal courses—AMA PRA Category 1, AOA Category 1-A, or AAFP prescribed credit. The State of Texas mandates that physicians who practice in a pain clinic must complete 10 hours of CME credit in pain management as a component of the 24 hours of Category 1 CME required each year. Effective January 1, 2015, nurses with prescriptive authority and who prescribe controlled substances will be required to complete 3 contact hours of continuing education related to the prescribing of controlled substances.

Agenda

The program agenda will cover a mix of clinical and practice management topics. Among them will be:

Differential Diagnosis of Low Back Pain

Medical Marijuana in the Treatment of Central Nervous System Disorders

Nonopioid Analgesics: Antidepressants, Adjuvant Therapies, and Muscle Relaxants

Small Fiber Neuropathies

Management of Low Back Pain: Interventional Options

The Obscurity of Opioids: The “Not Ready for Primetime” Players

The full-day agenda will include both certified activities and noncertified product, disease awareness, medical information programs. Faculty and topics are subject to change.
